Dr. Cavanagh returns to Afghanistan February 8, 2004. She will add new pictures of the children and families of Kabul.

Ellyn Cavanagh (afghan) > The two abandoned babies after their "lunch" of Lactogen. Girl on right, boy on left. Aren't they beautiful ? They were both adopted within the last 24 hours. The "network" gets activated and no eligible Afghani baby stays abandoned for long. Both to families who don't have babies. They will be cherished.
Ellyn Cavanagh (afghan) > One of our frequent nursery admissions who was successfully resuscitated with simple airway/ventilation.

Ellyn Cavanagh (afghan) > This is one of the best - triplets. 2 girls and 1 boy. Check out the next picture of the "family".
Ellyn Cavanagh (afghan) > This is the triplet family: 10 year-old sister and 3 year-old brother, Mom and grandmother. They brought the babies back to seek assistance with feeding them - same old story - hard economic times, no money to buy formula and mom can't keep up w/ breast-feeding three. $20.00 was donated to grandma, along with a Mormon package of clothing, blankets. If any of you send me money, I will feature the family I give it to. They are VERY appreciative.
Ellyn Cavanagh (afghan) > Mrs. Myers (wife of General Meyers) visited RBH on July 30th. I offered her one of out Afghani babies to admire/hold (the baby's family is Toopiley and they live in Grasdiez province). Rahim (anesthesiologist) is to her right. i hope this picture makes the Washington Post - Dr. Mary Moseley, see to it !
